The term FinTech, or financial technology, is a global phenomenon that refers to the use of technology to modernise and improve financial services. Different forms of fintech have already had a significant impact on all segments of the financial ecosystem, both on the market and institutions, as well as on financial service providers, business models, and of course the end users of those services.

As is the case with all innovations, the development of fintech brings a large number of opportunities as well as challenges. It significantly contributes to promoting financial innovation and inclusion, but also requires careful consideration of its potential impact on the economy and financial system, as well as the regulatory framework needed to ensure its safe and effective use.
